As an arranger I love challenges: Every work can be transformed into nearly anything. Shall it groove, shall it bang, shall it sound like Bach, Beethoven or Bernstein? It is my pleasure to conceive the possibilities in order to get the best possible result. At that I am feeling comfortable in nearly any style - from "classical" via rock through to hip hop.
My arrangements stand out due to empathy, wit, high artistic aspirations and a good prima vista playability.
Benefit from my creativity and years of experience...
...artistically: On the one hand contrapuntal drollery creating suspense and versatility, on the other hand homogenity and dramaturgic coherence, always in keeping with the "original" - adding up to great arrangements.
...concerning sound and playing techniques: From my numerous collaborations with various orchestras and my presence at rehearsals and recitals, I know what works out, I am aware of technical possibilities and difficulties of particular instruments and the tricks to achieve a well balanced sound.
...concerning material: I am conscious of the importance of good notation, from absolute correctness of score and parts to visually appealing layout to appropriate turning points for the instrumentalists - this minimizes rehearsal time and saves time and money.
